Marriage in Islam is considered half of faith and a means of achieving spiritual completeness. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: "When a person marries, he has fulfilled half of his religion, so let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half." رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.
Quran 25:74
بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ
May Allah bless you and send blessings upon you, and bring goodness between you both.
Abu Dawud & Tirmidhi
اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِي أَهْلِي وَبَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيَّ، اللَّهُمَّ اجْمَعْ بَيْنَنَا مَا جَمَعْتَ إِلَى خَيْرٍ، وَفَرِّقْ بَيْنَنَا إِذَا فَرَّقْتَ إِلَى خَيْرٍ
O Allah, bless me in my family and bless them in me. O Allah, unite us so long as You unite us for good, and separate us if You separate us for good.
Abu Dawud
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا
In the name of Allah. O Allah, keep us away from Satan and keep Satan away from what You bestow upon us.

رَبِّ أَصْلِحْ لِي دِينِي الَّذِي هُوَ عِصْمَةُ أَمْرِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي دُنْيَايَ الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَاشِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي آخِرَتِي الَّتِي فِيهَا مَعَادِي
My Lord, make my religion right for me, which is the safeguard of my affairs. And make my world right for me, wherein is my livelihood. And make my Hereafter right for me, wherein is my return.
Sahih Muslim
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her lineage, her beauty, and her religion. So marry the one who is religious, may your hands be rubbed with dust (i.e., may you prosper)."
Islam emphasizes compatibility in faith, character, and values. Marriage is half of faith, and choosing a spouse who will help you grow closer to Allah is essential.
