How to Use the Qibla Finder

1

Enable Location

Allow the website to access your location when prompted. This is needed to calculate the Qibla direction from your current position.

2

Hold Device Flat

On mobile devices, hold your phone flat and parallel to the ground for accurate compass readings.

3

Turn Towards Arrow

Rotate yourself or your device until the Qibla arrow points straight ahead. This is your prayer direction.

4

Use Degree Reading

If the compass doesn't work on your device, use the degree reading with a physical compass or compass app.

What is the Qibla?

The Qibla is the direction that Muslims face when performing their prayers (Salah). It points towards the Kaaba in the Sacred Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This unified direction symbolizes the unity of Muslims worldwide in their worship of Allah.

Allah says in the Quran: "So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces toward it [in prayer]." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:144)

Did You Know?
