Explore the Quran's beautiful teachings on Allah's infinite mercy (Rahmah), divine compassion that encompasses all creation, and the importance of showing mercy to others.
Mercy (Rahmah) is perhaps the most prominent divine attribute mentioned in the Quran, appearing over 300 times. Every chapter except one begins with "Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem" (In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful), emphasizing the centrality of mercy in Islamic belief.
Allah's mercy encompasses all of creation, and the Quran teaches that Allah's mercy surpasses His wrath. Believers are encouraged to embody this divine quality by showing mercy to all creatures, as those who are merciful will receive mercy from the Almighty.
