Explore the comprehensive framework of rights and justice established in the Quran, covering human dignity, social justice, and individual freedoms.
The Quran established a comprehensive framework of rights and justice over 1400 years ago. Islam recognizes the inherent dignity of every human being and mandates justice regardless of race, religion, gender, or social status. Justice ('Adl) is considered a fundamental attribute of Allah and a core obligation for Muslims.
The Quranic concept of rights extends beyond individual freedoms to include social responsibilities, economic justice, and environmental stewardship. These rights are not granted by governments but are divinely ordained and inalienable.
"O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives."

An-Nahl 16:90
"And do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness."
Al-Ma'idah 5:8
"And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except with that within its capacity."
